I do drink water, but to tell you the truth it doesn't completely work for me to stave off thirst. Here in the Sierra Nevada (Northern California), the climate is SO DRY that even though I drink water, every few days I have to chug a TON of electrolytes. I like the natural foods versions like "Recharge", plain old Gatorade will do as well, or I"ve also got a powdered sports electrolyte drink that I mix up too.
