In my early and mid-20s, the bachelorette parties I went to were going out clubbing & dancing & drinking. My sister's was much more tame -- we got our nails done, went to a restaurant for dinner, & then to a cocktail bar for a drink. We were done by 9:30 pm much to her bridesmaids' dismay!
She will actually be getting (re)married sometime next year so I will have to ask her if she wants to have one again. If she wanted one, I would imagine she'd want to go to a big city and shop all day or stay in and watch movies and have snacks and gossip.
