I'm a Boomer. The homes I grew up in did not have carpet, so I really like carpet. DH did, and he still likes carpet. We both loathe tile. I don't like how cold it is, even in the summer, and the grout gets nasty pretty quickly - I've seen other people's homes. Our house has carpet throughout except the kitchen, breakfast nook, laundry room and bathrooms. We really need to replace everything. I would love wood flooring/laminate in the den.
