He has a UTI which likely caused the fever, and we have to follow up with a urologist for a possible urinary reflux issue that is fairly common, but can lead to kidney issues.

Big hugs! That is so hard! I'm so glad they found the likely cause and it's something that is treatable! My middle guy had a fever when he was a month old and was hospitalized for a week, so I know exactly what it feels like. So terrible! I hope everything goes well with his urology follow up!
