I'm also reading Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society because it was made into a movie...it's ok so far. It takes place after WWII.

i read Field's biography last fall, I really liked it, although it did find it rather sad. I found her perseverance inspiring. I also read the Guernsey Society title a few years ago and loved it. i adored the letter writing story telling. Hope you end up enjoying it as well.
