Could you have sleep apnea? Before I was diagnosed, I was getting up all the time in the middle of the night. I had a sleep study and they found that I had it.
Also, my son had problems with insomnia as well. We got him on a sleeping pill, but he didn't have to be on it for a long time, just long enough to train his body to go and stay asleep.
