Between DSD and Black Friday, I always plan to shop a lot in the fall then spend December and January mostly wishlisting. Even though it's a lot up front in Oct/Nov, over 4 months it's right in line with what I'd usually budget myself. And like you said, the sales were so good that it was worth splurging now!
