I recently discovered the Lady Sherlock series by Sherry Thomas, and I’m listening to it for the second time because I loved it so much! Her writing is really good, and she throws and surprises that catch me off guard. Plus, they’re loosely based on Sherlock Holmes, which I love in any form.
I’m also listening to the audiobook, Jesus and John Wayne, which is a really interesting perspective about how testosterone is behind the current evangelical understanding of faith. As someone who identifies as an evangelical but isn’t really a part of evangelical culture and is often uncomfortable with the things evangelicals are associated with, I’m really excited to finish this book and see what it uncovers.
