I have some photos including people who aren’t in my life anymore. Good memories, but yes, seeing them and remembering what happened between us can be a not so fun side effect. If the album is for the kids, think about their feelings about those people. Depending on whether they were good memories all together or a good memory but NOT of that particular person... you could artfully crop the photos... a well placed flower or button
you know! You could also choose a couple of your favorite photos from that day or memory NOT including that person and make it a journaling heavy page. Or, use the photos to jog your memory and make it a photo less page and just tell the story.
