One of my fave things about the new year is the unveiling of the Pantone Color of the Year. I have mixed feelings about this choice though! I like the words that surround the color more than the color itself! Haha.
I appreciate the references to cosmos and unconventional ways, and to higher level potential. But in some ways I feel like it's a stretch, where most of the time the color is very organic and meaningful... this one seems like it's really reaching. But maybe that's just what we need in today's world... and with the symbolism of violet being attached to rights movements, feminism, and other minority rights initiatives, I think it can grow on me.
I'm interested to see the reaction to it.
