lucky for us, her dr is a lot like, well, the both of us. he suffers from anxiety AND sleeplessness so he was very sympathetic to her issues...especially the fact that it was affecting her days.
he decided to treat the sleeplessness first (with a non-addictive sleep aid) and we will go back in a month (with a sleep log) and if that hasn't helped, we will then move forward with a plan for treating her anxiety. i was VERY impressed with the fact that he is so anti-medication and actually solving the problem instead of just giving her a pill to 'help.'

We've only been to the dr a few times at this point and I've already learned that it's SUCH A BLESSING to have a dr be on the same page you are. I hope her nights get better so she can handle her anxiety better during the day.
