When I was a kid, our house was broken into. I think they took some jewelry. I don't remember them taking our TV & stereo but maybe they did. It was when I was 8 or 9 so a long, long, long time ago.
When I was in college, someone broke out the front window of my car to steal my parking pass. It was the last month of the semester, too, and the front office of my dorm, despite my showing them the police report saying my pass had been stolen, wouldn't issue me another one. I had to park on the street (and move my car every so often) until school was out. I was LIVID.
