April 8, 2010, our then 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with a Wilms tumor, after we'd taken her in because we thought she was constipated. Wilms in a childhood cancer, it was a 10 cm tumor on her left kidney, within 24 hrs they had her in surgery and removed the tumor & her kidney. April 13th, she started 18 weeks of chemo and was released from the hospital. May 16th she turned 5.

Fast forward to May 12, 2011 and they found a new tumor in her liver. June 2nd she started chemo again and radiation. September 28th she had the tumor removed, it had gone from 8 cm to 2 cm. She finished her chemo treatments on December 29, 2011. And now she's been cancer free for 1 whole year!!
