Good luck on the house upgrades. When I retired (after getting an inheritance), I put money into a bathroom and kitchen/dining room makeover. Also had all new floors put in. I also had an old patio torn out and a new one installed with new landscaping.

This summer I'm on the schedule to change out some of the landscaping (original plants ended up being too big for the area) and having the border changed out. The border change won't be cheap but will make things easier for the guy that mows my grass. I have stones instead of mulch in my beds (had to... my dog likes to eat mulch) and they keep getting in the grass. With the new border, they won't.

Since I'm not exactly sure of the timing of that work, I'm not planning any trips. I also have an appointment with an ENT next week so I want to see what is going on and if I have to have surgery or not.

So for now I'm not planning anything exciting at all.
