I voted for the wood one...but a word to the wise...

when building stuff off of her site (which we have and LOVE) make sure you spend a little more $ for more straight/better wood. Not super great wood that is going to break the bank, but the straighter, less knotty wood it is the easier it is to get a clean line/straight finish. Oh and it does take more time than you estimate...always! But the results are fabulous.

Another scrapper (Heather Ann Designs) built a bed for her little boy and it turned out so cute...you may want to read her blog posts to see what she learned too before you start on your new adventure: Wood Working
