I had to do some digging with this one. I typed up what the definition was, searched for layouts tagged as this and then I came across
this blog post
"Asymmetry means “without symmetry.” Nothing is mirrored or centered. You could have an odd or mismatched number of differing elements. Designing with an absence of symmetry, does not mean there is not balance. Since there is no formula for asymmetrical balance, you must achieve it by sensing whether it looks balanced or not."
This is my asymetrical layout because it has three photos (not even), it's off to the side. There's a large cluster in one location and no where else. It's a "hot mess", but it works!
