I just read The Witch of Blackbird Pond, too! I'm teaching it for my 8th grade literature class, and it made me SO ANXIOUS. Poor Kit going from life in paradise to Puritan New England was the WORST.

This is what I've read the last couple of months:

This is the story of how "Science Mike" lost his faith & found it in a different form,
and I enjoyed his authenticity and his reading about his experience.

This was interesting because it isn't the usual defector story,
and she writes about all that she loved & lost in North Korea.

This is an older book, and I find Glennon's story really interesting.
I used to read her blog, and while I don't agree with her whole
"I am the only person who will never let me down" idea,
I really appreciate how open & honest she is in this book.

This just finished off the Charlotte Holmes series,
which was entertaining.

I've also read a LOT of Junie B Jones to Ariana, and that girl just makes me laugh so much.
