I've had it for several years-at one point the pain was so bad that I had to have cortizone shots. After awhile that didn't really help either. One doctor suggested I try shoe inserts called "Super Feet", finally I bought the inserts (about $30, I think)-I put them in my tennis shoes and voila' the pain eventually disappeared. I had tried the boot thing at night-but it only made all the other parts of my leg ache and I couldn't sleep with it on! For me I try to never go barefoot, mostly wear my tennis shoes all the time-for winter I wear Nike boots and have the "Super Feet" inserts in them as well. I hope you can find something that works for you! PF is a real pain in the foot!
