Yes! I use QR codes all the time. I too use either my google photos or my private you tube.
For my process: Copy the video link, go to
https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/ and then under the URL tab- paste the link. Then click on the download arrow- I usually save as PNG file type. I then pull it into my layout & usually add to a journal card or label. I try to make sure I don't have any elements covering it up or any shadows over it too!
