Just wanted to say that I love layflat. They're easier for my kids to handle/read, and like HavaDrPepper said, the gutter issue is basically solved.
I do a series of books that I call "Remember This": they're random years/events all next to each other, so I don't (can't?) coordinate pages for them. The kids love seeing all these events in non-chrono order. Anyway, I'll try to make a few photos to share of the layflat 12x12 SF books.
