I think Jacinda has done a fantastic job of answering everyone's questions... and am just chiming in with a few other tips.

#14: Mixing Two Alphas:
Clipping paper to a font is a fantastic way to create your own alpha and think Jacinda has done a wonderful job of explaining it in her post above. She also has written a terrific tutorial on how to turn a font into a 3D accent that beautifully mimics an alpha ... Found Here

#10: Favorite Photo App...
The idea behind this one is really just to encourage us to experiment more with photo editing... you can achieve some really great effects using your scrapping software or an app. Whether it's just changing a photo from color to black/white or going one step beyond and using a fun filter that changes a photo into a watercolor painting. If you don't happen to use any photo apps on your phone, please take a stroll through our Photo Editing tutorial section for some great alternative tips and ideas.

#13: Pinstripe Background...
Pinstripes are just skinny stripes... like those you see on men's suits and painted daintily on cars. All of the examples Jacinda and Rachel have shown above are spot on.
Here are a few more examples of papers using skinny stripes [pinstripes]...

this paper's stripe is a little fatter ... but would work great in a pinch!

I hope these additional ideas help.
