What an interesting thread! I started to say I don't have any hard and fast food rules, but that's not true.
I will not eat gamey meat or organs. Venison and liver are both instant non-starters for me. I can't get past the smell and taste.
I will not eat standard oatmeal. Blame it on Beverly Cleary's Ramona Quimby. I can't get past the texture and an instant mental connection to that story. Quite literally, I physically cannot swallow it.
And I am religious about food safety - proper temperatures, storage, cross-contamination, etc. It's important for everyone, but that much more important when you're living with auto-immune issues.
