I hate to be a downer, but NOTHING helped with Emma. NOTHING. she turned about 4 months and was almost magically ok.
slings didn't work, the swing sometimes helped, she HATED the swaddle blanket, sometimes when Darik would hold her in the football hold, that helped...
this too shall pass is my best advice.
