LOL We're using a 9 year old Dell. DH did pick up a Toshiba from a facebook group that is a little newer and runs well. A laptop for us is no more than a tablet, its really just to browse the internet on. We don't 'work' from a laptop. I find laptops completely awkward. I need a full sized keyboard, mouse, large monitor, etc.
I also prefer using dual monitors and having a full size keyboard with mouse, etc .. so I use a docking station for my laptop. Easy peasy. If you didn't want to invest in a docking station, you can always just plug everything into the laptop directly.
