Oh! That may be part of the problem right there - I've never been able to get the Logitech wireless mouse or keyboard to work correctly if the dongle is plugged into a USB hub. It
has to be plugged directly into one of the USB ports on my motherboard. Otherwise it regularly loses its connection, just as you've described.
