What country are you from? USA
What is your native language? English
What other languages can you speak, if any? Italian & French (but not as well as I used to) and I can make a grocery list in Russian I learned French in elementary, high school & college, then after college, I spent a year in Italy and it was so easy to pick up the basics and I went to Italian language school in the evenings. I learned some sign language at summer camp (the chorus to 2 songs and it's still dangerous if they come on the radio when I'm driving )
If you don't speak any other languages, is there one you wish you did? Why? I wish I made it a point to seek out people to speak French & Italian with so I could speak as well as I used to-- I recently met another military spouse who is from Italy and I just came right out and said, "Hi! I want to be your friend because I want to practice speaking Italian" I also wish I spoke Spanish. And I wish I could speak more Russian than a 1-year-old-- my husband is (was...he hasn't practiced in over a year now) fluent and there are often moments when it would be handy to be able to converse around our children without them understanding us
