I've been single for a looooong time so for me it's just scrapping memories that the boy and I have made together. We've been apart for 11 years and I've never dated anyone so it's been just us. However, when I get to scrapping this year and his college graduation I will make sure to include the photo of him with his dad and step-mom.
If the memory is a good one and you are doing it for your kids then I say go for it if you are comfortable with it. Not sure what I do going way back, those are done in a paper scrapbook and I'm not sure I would go back and do digital.
