No, it's not a shallow vs deep thing at all. My cousin is a gift person, and she is the deepest person I know. I think it's more that it's difficult when family members have different love needs and won't recognize that others might not feel loved the same way they do? I DO enjoy gifts and I appreciate thoughtful gifts from others, but coming up with good gift ideas and having a good attitude about the whole Christmas gift exchange thing is a struggle for me.
