I hated it, now I just... dislike it. I've learned how to live with it because of school, work, SSN and administrative stuff... but still if someone made me choose between Imperio and Maddie, I will easily pick Maddie.

Kids (and adults) can be SO mean. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that growing up. No wonder why you don't like your name. It's funny that you say you don't like your name. I did a layout a while back about how I hate my made-up name (Wendy is not my real name).
I was kind of close to how you pronounce your name. Now that I know how it sounds, it sounds very romantic flowing off the tongue---I told you I really liked your name!
