Throwing my two cents in...
I always enjoyed the monthly challenges. I am a random scrapper, not doing one year at at a time. So I didn't/don't have that get-the-year-done goal in mind. The challenges gave me something to focus on. If I were voting, I'd say keep a monthly challenge.
