That didn't seem to make any difference Lynette but not sure if the keyboard shortcut worked tbh, I also noticed that the checkbox was ticked for Auto Selected the layers when the move tool is active and I turned that off which didn't make any difference.
I'm re-installing the previous version of PS i was working on and will see if that fixes things!
