2 years ago, my son won tickets to see his favorite (indy) band - Edward Sharp & the Magnetic Zeros. The concert was in Berkley (No Cal), we lived in So Cal at the time. My husband volunteered to take him. It was a 7 hour drive. It was an open air amphitheater and the seats were concrete benches, but everyone stood the whole time. I'm glad it was hubby that went & not me
Another concert DH took our son to was a small indoor venue. My son still talks about how it was "hot boxed" and he left with a contact high.
