Default How to use Alphabet Sheets

I forgot how to use the page of alphabets. Having trouble googling it. I don't think I'm wording it right. Thanks in advance for your help.

I usually use the Lasso tool in Photoshop to draw a circle-ish blob around a letter, copy (Ctrl + C), and paste (Ctrl + V) each letter into its own layer on my layout, and then drag them around to position them.
