somebody hacked into my husbands World of Warcraft account, stole a ton of his gear off of multiple characters, took ALL of his gold, tried to change his password, then as a result of all that they suspended his account for 72 hours because they think he was selling gold or something you're not supposed to do. he has been playing this game for years. he has several high level characters with expensive, hard to find armor and a TON of gold. not its all gone. he sent a couple emails to them to let them know that his account has been hacked and that its not him doing the 'illegal' stuff but who knows what will happen. in the frequently asked questions, they say that when this happens (and it does a lot unfortunatly) they try to do everything they can to get it fixed. but it may take awhile. he's playing my character now. now he can level me up atleast, lol.

sorry. i know there isn't a lot of WoW players, but this is REALLY frustrating. i'm SO mad!! all that work he's done. i know its just a game, but still! its stealing!! i hope they find out who did it.

my son had someone on an online game send a link through it...he clicked on it and thought he was logging back into the game but it gave the person his password...they logged on immediately and stole all his stuff and some of his "money" from his "potato card" and shut him out

the 20yo ds got the account back for him...but he lost almost everything in a blink of an eye! shame on them for stealing from a child! I have no idea how all of this works... but there are some real low lifes out there.

that sucks...so many people do that crap. I used to play neopets (years ago) and because I had rare pets and alot of rare items people were always trying to trick me into giving them my password.
