Unresponsive FB Script = CS to crash?

All day long I've been getting an unresponsive FB script thing popping up which stalls my whole computer, well it did it just a bit ago and caused every program I was running (including CS) to crash! I'd been working for several hours on a page and was ALMOST done, and then BAM, no more page. I took a screen shot before I had to close it, which should help in re-making the page, but still I'm just soooooo angry.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

That hasn't happened to me and I will be no help. I just wanted to let you know that it totally sucks and I am so sorry for you!!!!!! Thank God you got a screen shot!

Take a few deep breaths. Go get a special snack and drink to make you feel better and then get right back to it. ((((HUGS))))

not sure what was up with mine last night, but after 4 hours and 7 of 8 pages of my mini album done my Photoshop crashed! I lost it all and was so angry. Now I'm sitting here redoing them page by page and saving it after each one.

I save like every 10 minutes if not more often. Seriously, Ctrl+S is your friend.

Last month on two Friday nights in a row my CS crashed and I lost the layouts. It totally sucks! :0( I'm so sorry. I totally understand your frustration.

this in particular has never happened to me but I have lost layouts several times because of something causing PSP to crash or freeze. It sucks.

If the FB script is causing problems, (and I'm assuming you'r one a PC), do a control-alt-delete and then choose whichever browser you're using in the processes list, and do a right click>endprocesstree. It'll kill your browser, stop the script issue, and everything else should then go back to normal on your PC..and other things shouldn't crash.

And yes, save early, save often

Is there not a place on the script popup you can hit stop script? I get one every once in awhile on Flickr but knock on wood it hasn't caused PS to crash

Megs...it doesn't always work. FB is wonky.

Yeah it'll pop up saying stop script but it always causes a huge slow down and lag in the whole computer before it does stop. It was during that slow down and lag that everything crashed.

Thanks Darcy! I'll try to remember to do that next time.

Oh and I used to save often when my old computer would just faint at all I had going on, but I just hadn't had that problem in a while thus I got out of the habit of it.
