Default Pinterest: Christmas Edition!

I was thinking it might be nice to have a little thread about what some of us plan on making/doing for the upcoming holiday season? Sometimes pinterest can move fast and some stuff thats awesome can be easily missed!

My first thing I plan on making and I think is soooooo adorable is this:

I thought this was such a neat idea!

Wreath Filled with Wishes
Hang an unadorned twig wreath in a spot where guests can’t miss it. Set out red Magic Markers and small plain cards on a table next to it. Post a little sign asking visitors to scribble a greeting or a wish for the upcoming New Year, along with their names, and have them slip the notes into the wreath.

I used to make these as presents when I was a kid with ribbon. Lots of them are still hung up every Christmas at relatives' houses.

I am in love with this. Would love to try it but it's hard to find them big candy canes around here!

The image is linked to the source and there's lots of other inspiration there.

I checked out your board... and I found a cute little idea about making a felt tree for kids to put ornaments on.

Thanks for the inspiration!

I never open these Pinterest threads because then there goes my day. But I couldn't resist a Christmas one. And I've been pinning off and on all day! Here's something easy I found I want to do. You can get cheap wine glasses at the dollar store. You could put anything under the cups - ornament balls, pine greenery, ribbons, etc.

I've gone a little pom pom crazy and am totally making this

as soon as I'm done with this (I'm about half done now)

We go with the magenta, pink, green and aqua for our Christmas tree, so those are the colors I'm using.

And I'm also making some of these as gifts

I think I'm also going to make one of these after the holidays

I think I'm doing this for my table (I had something similar for Halloween only I hung bats from it )

And I don't think I'd ever make this but just think it is so cool looking!!!!

Just wanted to say I made that wreath snowman for my front door yesterday. It's not as cute as the one pictured, but it didn't cost me a penny. I used artificial wreaths we already had and scrounged up the hat, scarf and mittens (and believe me, I didn't have much of a choice since we don't even wear those here).

But I think it's something cute and different and I love it! Thanks for the idea Kristin!

Oh, and I've decided to make these for my girlfriends. Except I'm changing them up and doing black bags. I already did my experiment version and I think they will turn out pretty cool. I'll post pics when I get them done.
