i grew up listening to a classic rock station too. Q95; Home of Bob & Tom. They are SO FUNNY! they are broadcasted all over, but they are from Indy.

i love REO Speedwagon, and Styx, and Boston, and the Eagles and Pink Floyd. i could go on, lol.

pandora.com :] it creates stations for you based on whatever artist preference you put in.. so it'll pull up all different artists that have similar styles whatever.. it's awesomeness.. and free

One of my all time favorite bands, Jim was HOT. I LOVE the Oliver Stone movie, Val Kilmer was so damn sexy in it!

i saw this coming. it's ok. if you choose some obscure retro band over me, it's not worth the fight. i used to jam to them back in the day, then i realized i only liked 'wish you were here's intense opening guitar solo...then i realized the song itself was pretty depressing, so i moved on.

OMG! You girls make me feel so old! What you call "classic" rock is just the rock I grew up listening to. I remember laying awake in 5th grade listening to Eric Clapton's I Shot the Sheriff, Fleetwood Mac's Rhiannon & The Moody Blues' Nights in White Satin (1975 RULZ!!!!)

The Doors are OK. My favorites are Roadhouse Blues & Riders on the Storm. I'm a much bigger Floyd fan. My bff had an older brother who was sooooo into Floyd...that was my introduction to them. Dark Side of the Moon, baby! She and I would walk around singing Money & Eclipse all the time (another good 1975 memory - I should scrap that! ) Then, when I was in college, I would play Floyd while studying - great background music and not much temptation to sing along

I could go on and on about "classic" rock

I think if Sweet shoppe had a theme song, it would be "People are Strange"

But, "Come On Baby Light My Fire" is my favorite. I used to summer in Mystic with my aunt. I have vivid memories of driving in an MG convertable over the draw bridge with my cousin Walter who was high and listening to "Come On Baby Light My Fire" on the way to the yacht. Good times!

every tom, dick and harry who can buy a floyd t-shirt at target isn't a true fan, their wordly tunes and deep lyrics go beyond how many people say "they just LOVE floyd". i had wish you were here on cassette, don't get me wrong..they just aren't that good. admit it.

i wanna see a true floyd fan, someone who has some vinyl to prove it.

p.s. this was a doors thread. lets talk doors.
