Default i started to excersise to day

i bought one of those big balls. it came with an elastic band and a dvd. but there was only like 4 excersises on it, lol. so i looked up a few more moves online. did some crunches on it. whoa. i've got a way to go! did this other thing where you lay on the floor on your back, bend your knees and lift your legs so your calves are parallel to the floor, hold the ball in your hands with your arms extended back and then sit up and place the ball on your shins then lay back then sit up and grab it again. its called the ball pass. again, i had trouble with this. i had to have my legs closer to me cause i don't have the strength yet to sit up further ! i also have a pilates dvd somewhere, i'll have to dig that out. so, we'll see if i stick with it. i'm a tad bit sore. also, i need to get a mat cause my feet kept sliding all over the wood floor, which didnt make things any easier. i really wanna get toned up. i think i'd feel better. i already have more energy than i usually do in the morning just from doing the little that i did! now, i'm off. i have a house to clean! might as well put that energy to good use!

Good for you Corey! I really want one of those balls with the resistance bands! We don't have a gym here (closest one is an hour away), so I have to do home workouts.

I totally recommend going to www.sparkpeople.com and looking up their exercises! They have lots, along with demonstrations so you can see how its done... Thats where I get my routines from to work along to.

Yeah, that ball pass is a toughie. My kids destroyed my last ball so I went and bought a new one the other day... I should probably inflate it so I can use it *sigh*

I'm tossing around the idea of getting the Bender Ball or that crazy pilates thingy. We'll see. I have to force myself to get on the new exercise bike tonight.

Pilates and me don't get along. They nearly killed me last time I tried. This old goat must stick to walking and/or weights for quite a while

$12.98 for the ball and 2 DVD's?? Oh man, I might have to get it now.

My mom bought a small ball to use instead of the bender ball, and my sisters cat popped it Oops.

I love pilates. I do not love feeling like a total moron doing some of the pilates exercises though. So I only do them in the bedroom with the door closed.
