Default Wanna know how to find lost sippy cups?

Yes...the sippy cup gremlins struck again at my house. Well I figured out the secret to finding lost sippy cups! Buy new ones. So yeah...here we stood last night at the cup cabinet...don't laugh...but it's just an exact science for me. Naomi has 7 cups. Tristan has 7 cups. Both up from 5...we saw some really cute ones and bought some new ones. They use cups from The Learning Curve. We like them because they are insulated, BPA free, and valveless.

ANYWAY.

Last night Tristan had 7 cups in the cabinet after putting all dishes away. Naomi had 3.

I declared a "sippy sweep". We hunted and hunted and searched and, well...you know.

3 cups.

I found all 4 missing cups in a random spot this morning. ALL of them. I mean, they were hidden good. Took a flashlight and a broomstick to even see them. :sigh:.

So last night while they were all missing I bought these ADORABLE and really hard to find ones on Amazon. I can't wait till they get here!

Hate that sippy bandit!

It took a good 4 or 5 months for us to find one of Rachel's lost Nubys...let's just say it had milk in it when it was lost...it got carried STRAIGHT to the outside trash can.
A second one went missing that same week and still hasn't been seen....so somewhere in this house lurks something REALLY nasty!

Good, glad I could enable LOL! They have some really cute and harder to find specialty ones. They make these really cute "babyish" John Deere tractor ones but 1) Parker's not big enough yet and 2) I'm not into tractors. They also make really cute Star Wars ones but 3) see reason 1 and 4) I'm not into Star Wars. Naomi has the Minnies, (I'm not into Minnie either but she liked them). She has two adorable Tink ones (I'm not into Tink either but I liked them because they were lime green). She has the Elmo ones. I actually don't like Elmo either but that day we really needed them and it was all the store had. I think I want to order the Ariel ones too. I guess I didn't realize how picky I am. I wish I could manufacture my own labels for these specific ones, not the Playtex. I don't really like licensed stuff but because I like these cups I'm stuck with their selection...hence why I was so happy to find the Nemo...somethin' different.

Anyway. I need a life. Since moving to the country I online shop way too much. Boredom, ya know?

Those are cute! The sippy cup bandit strikes here too, but for some reason he only takes lids and straws. How can that many lids and straws go missing when DS never opens the cups and they're apart only long enough to be washed?

one of the many reasons we are past the sippy cup stage now! There is only one in my house, and it's the emergency one for babysitting my friend's little girl. hehehee
I can't tell you how many bottles and sippy cups have been lost over the past 14 years ... literally, it is an insane amount!!!

We have a black hole somewhere in our house where pacifiers go. To this day I've never found many of those pacifers...and it's been years since my boys used them.

Those are so cute! We have the Cars ones just like them and they are definitely Kyle's favorite sippy's! I love that they are valveless & insulated, wish they were cheaper though!

omg, those sippies are adorable. We used to use Nuby sippies, but I'm tired of Meri chewing the crap out of the spouts. And then not being able to find replacement spouts easily. So we moved to straw sippies.

We very rarely had them missing since I don't let drinks out of the kitchen. LOL Once in a while I'd find one in the bottom of the toy box.

Ugh, I hate when those things go missing especially when there is milk in them. Yuck. I left a really nice one at the Drop in Daycare my son used once as a last resort and can't seem to remember to pick it up. I am betting its long gone now since it was in November. I even drove by the place yesterday and didn't think to stop in.
