Default here's a pic...

...of our house, front and back.

needs a lot of work; the back yard has a lot of weeding and some trees coming up along the fence. the pool hasn't been taken care of in awhile and will take some $$ to fix; new liner and filter. and i hate the yellow siding, lol. i'd like to put a different color siding and brick on the bottom half but i know it won't be cheap. we'll probably get a home equity loan at some point for that, when we get more settled and pay some things off. i also have a lot of painting to do inside and new carpet desperately. i'll be busy in the next few months!

i still can't believe i'm taking over the house i grew up in, lol. i hated this tiny town growing up. but things change when you grow up and have kids of your own. its a quiet place; a great place to raise the kids. everything worked out for us after all!

I like the yellow siding...I think it fits the house very well!! I don't think brick would fit this house.

As far as carpet goes, I hated ours, so I just ripped it out! If it's wood, you can sand it and even paint it. If it's concrete...scrub with clorox and paint!! I lived with my floors like that for awhile until we decided what to do, and for when we could afford it!

lol, we'll probably just do different color siding. brick will be pricey. i just hate the yellow. don't know why always have. my mom picked it out a long time ago. its fine for now. we are going to get a power washer because it needs to be cleaned in some spots. and the porch posts need to be painted again too.

the mortgage is only $400 a month, lol. its big; 3 possibly 4 bedrooms, laundry room, dining room, big dining room and living room, kitchen is decent sized. my old room upstairs that we'll take is HUGE. with a walk in closet. its old, built in the late 1800s. somewhere is the original deed with the names of all the people who owned it. the town itself was established in 1854.

and i think he only owes $40,000 on it? not sure. at some point we'll switch it to our name but as of now we are just taking over the payments. it all happened sort of fast, lol.

I love the wrap around porch, always wanted one of those. Good luck with everything.
