I want to move...

So I told everyone awhile back that my neighborhood was getting really bad. It wasn't always this way, when we first moved in it was nice.

Well this morning my hubby and I got up to go see the family, and we found out someone broke into my car!!

ahhhhh I'm so tired.

Oh, that is a total bummer. So not cool. I hope you guys can move away from there soon. And, I hope that they didn't take anything important or damage your car too much.

well they didn't bust out any windows but they tore my dash apart and stole my radio

I'm getting my house ready RIGHT NOW. I have a nice neighborhood and love my house, but a sex offender moved in RIGHT next door and has bought the house, so he's here to stay.

Interestingly, we were looking all around our area, and my house is nicer IMO than many higher priced ones too, which really bums me out. Now we're looking at houses on acreage--- I think it'd be cool, but I never pictured myself as a country girl (Priscilla- I'll be closer to you!) Sorry to hear about your car, but if your gut thinks it's time to move, believe it.

We had the same thing happen, but it was on a rental property down in Mississippi. We'd moved into some really nice rental homes where the community owner/property holders said it would be safe etc...and they ended up moving in people who didn't meet the qualifications like we had to. It was ridicilous. We had a HUGE fight break out in our front yard with the neighbor boy and another kid--they my 2 year old ended up whitnessing--then we had people banging on our windows at 2-3am and we called the cops SO many times- I ended up writing the property managers after my windows on my car got shot out by I guess it was a BB gun---...it was ridicilous...lets add that they were allowing dogs in the neighborhoods that weren't approved...we had a pit walk up right to our door--with our daguhter outside in her pool, she was 2 at the time. These people had the cops out all the time--they were knwon "drug addicts" and I had several cops I knew personally out there that said they'd testify. I've never had them get in touch with me....so I have to wonder we cleaned out the entire property gave notice turned in keys and left--thats after I sent my daughter up to live with my grandparents/aunt and uncle becuase she wouldn't sleep in her own room because scary people were knocking on her window. Ugh...I feel ur pain girl...all to well

oh stephanie that is scary! sorry to hear that. I'm just lucky I don't have children.

I just wonder if its not my neighbor *because its really not that bad* but just the city or crime is just up.

It just makes you really mad at first.

omg that is so crazy!! I'm so sorry that your child had to go through that.

Yeah I've had our neighbors car broken into and up the street they had someone shoot their house. My townhouse is really nice and everything around us is pretty nice, but its like we are right on the corner of the neighborhoods that are going bad.

Im sorry to hear that...I think it is just a sign of the times right now. Such a bad economy and crime is just going up the worse it gets. Hope they catch who did it

Our last apartment was like that. When we moved in it was brand new, great young family neighborhood. We lived there for 5 years and by the time we left it was a mess. One night there was someone shooting off the balcony across the street. Another night, I went to go into my hallway to go to work (I worked an overnight shift) and I hear the cops yelling, get out, come out. I had to call 911 to find out if it was safe to go to work. It was ridiculous. I hope you can get out soon.
