Default i want this for Aidan!

KidKraft Ride Around Town Train set. it's out of stock right now, but i'll find one, lol. its WAAAY cheaper than the Thomas the Train one. this store at the mall had one up on display and i had to carry him out of there crying, lol. So i hope to get it for him for Christmas. anyone have one? the reviews on it are all pretty good. and you can't beat the price; the thomas one is $400!

I think we have almost this exact one...got it from Costco a few years ago and ours has two bins underneath to store stuff on. I used a hot glue gun to keep some of the pieces together, which helps from little hands tearing it apart accidentally while playing, but Hayden loves his! Good luck!

thats a good idea to glue it together! i'll probably do that too otherwise Aidan will have it everywhere. our two dogs love to chew on wooden things too so i'll have to be extra cautious with it, lol.

thanks Meghan! i'll look around for it then.

The boys received one from one of their aunts last Christmas. It's great and lots of fun, except that my youngest son, who was 1 at the time, continually would mess up the pieces. So glueing it is a great idea.

We have a Melissa & Doug Train set and I had to glue it also. They kids loved it but we took it down over the summer because we simply need a bigger house. LOL!

We have a train table, but DH built it and I painted it. It was much cheaper to do it that way and then we watched for the sets to be on sale and picked up a few here and there. We never glued ours together because DS would like to change the design of his. We gave it to DS for his 3rd bday and he is almost 7 now and uses it for his Lego table, so it has gotten lots of use.
