I am sure there are like 350 million threads with this info, but bear with me...I've had a long week and I'm feeling lazy!
![]() So I ordered a calendar from Artscow for my grandma for Christmas and I LOOOOOVED how it turned out. It was on this really awesome thick nice paper, but like a glossy paper kinda (hard to explain). Anyway, I really wish I could get my scrap pages on that kind of paper, but I don't know if that's possible. I have been just ordering 12x12 photo prints from mpix.com, but now seeing these other sites, I think I will try something new. When you order from a place that sort of specializes in scrap pages, does it come on regular photo paper? Is there another specialty kind of paper it comes on? I want to print more, but it was so cost restrictive with mpix - what's the cheapest and best quality place you've ordered from? Thanks so much, in advance, for your expertise!

I just placed an order at Scrapbook Pictures for .89 cents/print (8x8) and the quality is very good. I've only ordered from them, so I have no comparison. They never cut anything off the edges, and you can order matte or glossy photo paper. I always order matte.
Edited to say I always order matte, not glossy. I'm not a fan of glossy prints. Last edited by rochelle789; 02-05-2010 at 05:21 PM. |

I have a calendar from Artscow and yes, the paper is nice. However, I had a totally different experience regarding the photo quality! mine came out horrible.
![]() I've ordered from a few other on-line scrap sites and my favorite paper is from Scrapbookpictures.com. They have a lustre finish that is not full-on glossy, but not matte, either. good luck in your quest! |

I just really liked that it was more of a rigid paper. I don't MIND having it printed on regular photo paper, but I really liked that other. Maybe I'll try a few places and see which I like best. Anything beats the price I was paying at Mpix - I think I'll try the Scrapping Simply sale, and I'll take a look at the site you posted as well!

Also wanted to mention the shipping cost issue with scrapbook pictures if you plan on staying with 12x12 prints. VERY expensive to print and ship 12x12's with them now. Not that I have used them, I've just seen a lot of complaints about it lately.
