Default Survivor! (spoilers)

If only....Russell wasn't a dummy and so "enamored" of Parvati...he would have seen the brilliance of JT's plan (even if his letter was a little hokey) lol. Why wouldn't he go along...b/c Russell doesn't want anyone thinking they're calling the shots but him...even if he is too stupidly male to realize that Parvati is playing him like a loose fiddle. UGH.

Still...you gotta love it

I agree. I don't know that he could have gotten Parvati out that night, but he should have tried to played along. I couldn't believe he was dumb enough to show her the letter. /facepalm

Also, where the heck did she get a shovel, and where did JT get a pen and paper? lol

I'm not sure about the puzzle..but Jeff Probst blogged today that the pen/paper was part of Amanda's "luxury item" from home.

Did you guys find it weird that after the challenge the 2 teams conveniently did a big high-five and hug session so that they could pass off the immunity idol? I don't remember ever seeing them do a little love in after a challenge.

Also, how dumb is Russell? At tribal, he was like "Trust is me, Parvarti and Danielle" and poor Jerry is sitting there like "Ummm...hi remember me, I am in your alliance too, jerk"

I think it's probably something they do...we just don't see it often...here's Jeff's blog about the episode and he describes what the crew did to catch all of that during the challenge...

Thanks for the link Nikki. I want to know how JT kept that letter dry during that challenge. Even if it was wrapped up in that leather - full immersion in water? It should have been smudged in some way.

I still hate Russell, but now that my favorites are gone, I'm not invested in this season and don't really care who wins.

I kind of love that Russell thinks he's the king when it's so obvious Parvati is calling the shots. Oh and I loved Parvati's reading of JT's letter. BFFs!

I get what JT was trying to accomplish but at the same time I think it's really rather stupid to make such a bold move based on an assumption, especially with a player you know nothing about. This is where I kind of feel like them not knowing Russell's game is a huge advantage for Russell. I doubt they would have handed the idol over to him knowing how he played in his season. And I know Jeff Probst claims in his blog it doesn't matter, but being told Russell is one of the top 5 villians ever isn't the same as knowing all his tricks.

I think Russell has an advantage too...he definately played the game different than anyone ever has in his season and they didn't see that so they have no idea what he'll do. Of course as long as he keeps following after Parvati like a lost pup he's never going to be the "best survivor ever" lol

I didn't see Russell's season, so can someone explain how he played and why if they had seen him would have made a difference? And did he end up second? I only watched Survivor in the early years and haven't watched for quite a few seasons, so I only knew the older players in this season.

He was pretty much responsible for every player on his team being voted out He found countless immunity idols WITHOUT clues..he was a pretty amazing player. I'd catch up online with the previous season. Heroes vs Villains was filmed back to back so Russell's season didn't air for the other players to watch before this was filmed. He did get second..he was fan fave though his season

Mary you either love Russell or hate him...or love to hate him lol which I think is where I fall in...he was really really good at manipulating in his season..he really did call all the shots and no one even realized it was happening for the most part..like Meg said..he didn't wait for clues to immunity idols or even know if there WERE idols..he just went looking and found like 3 all on his own. Honestly, he deserved to win...if America had voted he would have won..the problem was it was decided by the jury...every one of which he was responsible for getting the boot lol

I love to hate him...But I agree with you all that Pav. is definately playing him for a fool. She may even win this time around. I hope Sandra can convince the Heros that Russle is a BAD BAD MAN!
