AFTER Glee started, they posted on the facebook fan page "Make sure you set your DVR to run long, because of the live nature of American Idol." Can't they just tell you EARLIER in the day?

I don't use a DVR, so I just watched last night on TV... but they DO post the full episode on Hulu the next day, if you have access to that...

I am so annoyed! I set my timer for future episodes to start 5 minutes early and end 10 minutes late, just so I can avoid this in the future!

Hopefully I can watch the end somehow, hulu and similar don't work up here in Canada.

It cut it off for me too, but just most of Like a Prayer (?) at the end, which I saw while it was actually on so it was no biggie. I hate when they do that though!

I think my thought was more like, "well, I hope I didn't miss anything important." I didn't actually realize there was still time for an entire song. I wouldn't be mad at my Tivo though, I'm annoyed by the fact that it's been HOW many seasons and American Idol and Ryan Seacrest still can't manage to ever finish an episode on time. Seriously, stop dragging every.little.thing out on that show and you'd probably be able to actually finish!

Our DVR is automatically set to record an extra three minutes of show so we only missed the tail end of the song. I've decided to set thing to record an extra 6 minutes though, just in case.

I was sooo irritated, even more so after realizing that some doohiky got knocked around and it didn't record Lost either ( I watched the end this morning )

I would DIE if it didn't record LOST lol...we have two DVR's and I have them both set to record LOST in case one goofs up on me lol

I have mine set to run over too..I have the end of idol on the beginning of my Glee ont he DVR..thank goodness I caught it all though!

I DVR LOST too but my cable puts it On Demand the next day so I usually just watch it there a couple times

We have U-Verse and I have all my DVR shows set to record 5min over just in case. I haven't had a chance to watch last night's AI or Glee episodes yet (sick kiddo home today) but hopefully the DVR got it all

We had to start setting up Cold Case to record an extra hour 'cause stupid Amazing Race was always making it start really late. I'm guessing it got pushed back because of football or something--not sure. But soooooooo annoying to not get the whole show.

I thought I had my DVR set to record Glee, but when I checked it wasn't there, so I just watched it on Fox.com today. But I was mad that it cut off the last few comments the judges gave Crystal. I wanted to see what they had to say since she was so emotional at the end of her performance. I mean, I'm sure it was just more of "you're awesome" and all, but I still wanted to see/hear it.
