Default do you ever wander around the toy section...

and really wish you were a kid and could buy yourself toys?
I always want a barbie doll.
like every time i see one.. I want one.

I didn't have many as a kid.. and had like, major barbie envy of my bff growing up.. She had a GIANT bag of barbie clothes. (amusingly, as an adult, I now know she was jealous of MY toys.. lol go figure. kids are weird).. So yeh.. I just always want one. My brother also liked to destroy my barbies (ripped their legs off. .cut their hair, you know, normal brotherly things). I played mostly with his gi joes .. because well ,what boy wants to play barbies with his sister? at least I had someone to play with when we played with those (.. though.. like any good kid in our age group, we use to take them apart.. and put their bodies back together differently. I was sO disappointed when i realized they don't make them like that anymore.. with that little elastic and h ook thing in their tummy LOL) ..
anyway.
i digress.
I'll never have a daughter. .so i'll never get to buy random girl toys without getting looks. I'll just have to daydream

LOL well I am an adult and I collect build-a-bears. I have like 30 some bears that I have gotten for my birthday, valentines day, christmas, mothers day etc. I get kinda weird looks sometimes when I go and make them but I dont care I love teddy bears. My sister collects barbies. I do not see anything wrong with it so you should just go buy one

LOL... I wonder around looking at the girl toys and wonder if it would be bad if I got DS that so I could play with it too... I have boxes and boxes of Barbies downstairs... I used to collect when I was in high school/college... now I wish I could just get rid of them.

the only toys I wish I could buy are way too expensive and realte to my camera but I guess having kids {2 girls and 2 boys} ranging from 17-2 I can shop in any section and be happy for the time being...I have to buy Abby a new Barbie suitcase for XMAS since she just inherited a bunch of Sam's barbies lol

I am way more into Littlest Pet Shoppe animals than my daughters are... I am always the one at Target that is saying "Oooh, look, they have a LIZARD! We don't have one of those..." LOL!

I say buy yourself all the Barbies you want! I did purchase a crapload of Strawberry Shortcake stuff for my daughter when she was about 3-4. And I played with it more than she did...and now my son loves to play with the little Strawberry house and dolls. (He does favor Huck the most, though!). And just this week I bought a big assortment of Play-Doh and guess who's been playing with it the most? And don't even get me started on coloring books...I have probably 6 boxes of brand new crayons hidden all over the house, because I always hate using the kids' broken ones. Life would be so much better if we all played with toys more often!

My sister's DH immigrated from southeast asia when he was 9. As a kid they didn't celebrate Christmas, and if they had there wasn't much $$ going around.

When she married him, EVERY christmas she buys him a toy. Remote control cars, games, etc... He remakes his childhood every Christmas.

so I say: GO BUY YOURSELF A BARBIE! and wrap it up for Christmas and put it under the tree! It's never to late to experience joy.

I really want the entire Girl Gourmet line. That, and the other day I was going through a toy catalog circling everything I wanted.

And American Girl dolls. As a kid, I always looked through the catalog and circled all the dolls and outfits I wanted. Well, our mall just got an American Girl place, and I almost died when I walked in there. Seriously. On the ground fainting nearly. It was.... wow. Magical. So magical. I wanted to just sit in a corner and never leave. I didn't buy anything. I still really want to buy an American Girl doll.

I wanted a baby doll once, but I ultimately decided that would probably be the final straw on my way to insanity. lol

I love toys lol. i admit, i try to sway my kids to like things that i want to play with lol.

I want that Collectors Woody from Toy Story, the one that sounds more 'movie like'.

Today is Aidan's birthday, and we get to go see if he wants Buzz or Woody as his present. and the other one he'll get for christmas. I of course want to play with them too haha. i'm such a big kid. i can't wait til they're old enough for Legos! now there's some fun times!

I love toys, and thankfully I have a 4 year old girl that gives me an excuse to buy them!! She has tons of Barbie stuff, Coloring books and loads of crayons, playdoh, silly putty, littlest pet shop, baby dolls you name it. Pretty much any toy I wanted as a kid that I didn't get, I get for my daughter, so I can live vicariously through her!! LOL! This year she said she wants some Lego's, (which I did have) an Easy Bake Oven (didn't have but always wanted) and new Glue Sticks (can you tell she loves to do crafts with Mommy??)

My husband and I do that all the time. At least we have a kid now so we have an excuse to be there. You have more restraint than me. I bought myself a set of superhero Barbies a couple years ago. I say go out and buy yourself a Barbie.

I saw these little toys in a toy section in my magazine that looks really similar to littlest pet shop that were so cute. It said they all come with a surprise. Now I cant remember what they were called. Anyhow I love the littlest pet shop. They are so dang cute.

I would totally get you this if it wasn't so expensive!! Darn those collectible Barbies!!

http://www.amazon.com/Hepburn-Goligh.../dp/B000YFNC92

and I agree...go buy yourself a barbie or whatever you want. I admit...I love being able to take my nieces shopping. We went to the American Doll store in New York with Haley...we had such a great time in there. Elly prefers Disney Princesses!

check out these barbies:

http://www.wowdolls.com/limited/faberge.htm

over 200 (one is almost 400)

My mom collected barbies...alot of them actually. She used to get a barbie catalog with collectors barbies. Some barbies cost alot more then those faberge ones.

Don't worry - my barbies used to do naughty things with my brothers He-Man characters. I didn't have a Ken doll, so I had to improvise...
