Question Question for designers regarding GGG

I have seen a lot of really beautiful kits in GGG and some of them quite new/recent... so I am curious how you, designers, choose your products for GGG...

Well for me it's a combination of things. Yes, sometimes it has to do with sales. Sometimes though, it's a kit that I don't feel represents my style anymore (or that I didn't like from the beginning... I've had some kits that I never loved even though they sold well). Sometimes I'm just tired of it. Sometimes they're outside collabs with designers from other stores, and we choose to retire them early because splitting the sales is a pain.

So, there are lots of factors that go into my decision about what to retire. There's no rhyme or reason really. It's just whatever floats my boat at the time that I start moving stuff into that category. LOL

yep...
I try to retire PP kits each GGG and then I retire everything else I'm tired of looking at for whatever reason that may be.. either I hate it, or I was particularly emo when I made it, or my style has evolved since that point.. etc.
I figure I put out SO mcuh product, It's good to keep the rotation fresh :]

I always wonder, too, especially when I see a kit I LOVE in it, good to hear some reasons.

I tend to retire kits that aren't selling too much anymore, perfect pairs and things I don't like anymore.

I have a question ... since the sale also includes stuff that will be in Penny Candy ... how do we know what is really going to be GONE? Or did I read the sale wrong?

Amber, anying in the GGG category is going to be gone after Saturday - it's not included in Penny Candy. But many Penny Candy products were moved over into GGG (so you still see the little blurb in the description because we didn't all go and edit that part out). You won't see it listed in the PC section at all. But if it's in GGG, it's gone as of Saturday.

Penny Candy stuff is completely separate.

I believe it is just the 50% off stuff that goes on Saturday

Penny Candy stays Penny Candy until the designers decide to retire them either at the next GGG or another GGG.
