Thanks Traci....

I love these things...have some from another designer, but loved the variety you had so I had to grab all of them! Thanks for the tutorial. I've saved it and will definitely refer to it when I'm ready to use them!

I just have to say...it was Mary's layout that totally sold me though. I would've grabbed them anyway I'm sure, but as soon as I saw hers, I just put the whole thing in my cart!

well...all her layouts are awesome!!

I've wanted to do a layout featuring my digi-layouts, and I loved that you had little squares and how hers turned out using them. I knew I'd use that size for doing that!

I haven't had time to even open up any of my supplies I bought for iNSD, but I do plan to use these slip-in's right away! Very cool!! Your team really used them well and gave me a lot of inspiration!!

Thank you for the tutorial. I was trying to use them MOnday, gave up and was going to try again this weekend. This helps a lot!

LOVE this tutorial! When I used them for my CT layout, the shadowing was tricky and I wasn't really happy with how I ended up doing it. It's awesome to see how it "really" should be done!

Ah! Okay, these are going on my wish list. The layouts on the tutorial page are *reallyreally* good, too. What a bunch of supertalented artists!

Would love some advice for shadowing using the Slips In's in PSE9. Still dealing with the CS5 learning curve here. They are totally cool, but I'm wondering how other folks have gone about shadowing that top layer in PSE9.

Will it let your turn a layer style into it's own layer?

no it won't

I did some major playing with PSE9... the only way I could get it to somewhat work is to shadow like I normally do an acrylic. I use Jessica Sprague's instructions which is to duplicate the layer and on the bottom layer you add your shadow, then fill the bottom layer in black and then paint it in black and then change the blend mode to "difference" so that the shadow only shows on the outside of the slip in instead of through the whole thing...

and this is why Traci convinced me to upgrade to CS5 because I was so disappointed LOL... shadowing really is a great reason for upgrading... is it bad that I can't wait to be homeschooling so that I can afford to get CS5?

Thanks ladies! It looks like I will have to click on that CS5 icon after all. I thought that would probably be the answer. Ironically, it sounds like CS5 is probably the simpler solution here.
