Ok, this is starting to stress me out - I have satellite internet and the connection is pretty dodgy . . sometimes it's good and sometimes it just ISNT. What annoys me is that I can be almost finished the download, and the connection will time out or whatever. Can anyone suggest a remedy for this? I have heard there are programs that break down the download into smaller bits, but I have absolutely no idea where to start. It's annoying 'cos when it stalls on, say, 40 odd megabytes then times out, I have used that 40mb and have nothing to show for it, and have to start over!!!

Oi! I have nothing to offer you but sympathy. I would be pulling my hair out. I hope you get it figured out. When I've had downloading trouble, Robin has always been way more helpful than most people would ever even thing about being.

This has happened once before, and Robin was great - Libby too! Hate bothering them tho, as my internet is to blame, not the site!!
Someone told me today I need to get a Download Manager program, so I'm looking into it ![]()

I'm pretty sure they don't consider it a bother

Id try the download manager. Also try contacting your internet provider and find out when their peak hours are so you can download outside the peak hours so youd be more likely to stay connected then. The only other suggestion I have is can you go somewhere which has wi-fi for free? I dont know how it is in Australia but here where I live they have wi-fi at bookstores, coffee shops and most fast food places. Even the libraries I think have it now.
