I have a tattoo on the inside of my wrist with my mother's name, birth, and death dates.

I've thought about getting some pretty writing on the outside in a font like ck cursive or similar with a little i miss you message of sorts...

I like them a lot, but am not sure about it being in such visible place. Right now all of mine are easily hidden.

I would love to have one on the inside of my wrist. If I ever decide to get another, that's definitely where it will be.

I don't have any and never will, but my niece has an inside-wrist one that reads "Never Give Up"

I don't have one there and had decided to get one, with the understanding that my left wrist could be covered with a watch and the right with a chunky bracelet. The one I had planned was writing, though, and my good friend has a moon on one wrist (that looks like someone colored it in with marker...so cool) and an anchor on the other (she's a boater). She told me I probably should reconsider putting words on my wrist....because it's either going to be upside-down for me or it's going to be upside-down for everyone else. I thought this was a good point I hadn't considered. The tat is on hold for now while I decide what to do...I wasn't in a hurry anyway!

that would depend on how you show it off..I had considered my wrist on a previous tattoo but ended up going elsewhere. If you have your arm up like a curl looking at your wrist with words the right side up for you (fist thumb to the left)..just twist the arm (fist thumb to the right) and it'll be right side up for whoever you are showing it to as well

IF i ever get another one I'd consider the wrist...seems like a cool spot

I want to get a word on my wrist but the part about other people not being able to read it doesn't bother me so much really.. I really want a word just for me type thing.. Doesn't really matter if others can't read it since at the end of the day its only you who has to deal with it for the rest of your life

For those who have them there - how bad does it hurt? That is what worries me the most.. I have one on my ankle and that was fine but I imagine the inside of the wrist would be soo much worse.

I want to get the Arabic for "love." I'm afraid of how badly it might hurt, though.

I can't ever get one...I would totally pass out cold on the floor before they even started lol
I don't know why I can't stand needles or human blood, sometimes even just seeing gory things on TV makes me light headed and fuzzy. And what makes this even stranger...I work with needles, draw blood, and assist in surgery at my work as a veterinary technician. Who'da thunk animal and human stuff could affect me so differently?!

But I think a wrist tattoo is cute. I really want a paw print on my ankle or bottom of my foot. I know weird huh?!

i do. (:

means strength in chinese. though, when i look at it, or when my hand is up? looks like a four. the running joke is that i have a four on my arm. i need to add the word "strength" in small letters below it or something. i like it cause i can see it (i have to look in a mirror to see my other one, which is on the left side of my lower back). and because it's a reminder that yes, i can do this.

everyone told me to get it somewhere that could be hidden. but honestly? i don't want to hide it. if for some reason i get a job where they make me cover it? bracelets or something. now, the fact that i want a heart in white on my right hand? that might make people upset when i go for interviews. but i think tattoos are more... acceptable now.

it hurt so much more than my other one, cause the skin was so thin on the inside of your wrist. but pain is one of those things that is different to everyone.

I have both my forearms done, but they read out. my kids initals and symbols. My husband and I are planning to do wrist ones when we get home. We will each get half the yin yang. I will get the colored in half as he has never had one before. [we are doing the wrists so when we hold hands it will come together] I love wrist tats. My sis has one its music notes. Her name is Melody so its kinda her thing.

I have a tiny star on my left wrist, didn't hurt a bit, in fact I didn't even feel it. I want to add to it eventually and get one on my other wrist too.

I'm surprised how many want/have visible tattoos. Every job I've ever had bans visible tattoos-- from retail jobs to jobs behind a desk where I don't see anyone. My husband works in the construction industry and he has found there is a trend towards employers not wanting tats or facial hair. That is unheard of in construction. But it's still a hard job market here in Oregon, near 10% unemployment, so employers are able to be overly picky. I've always wanted a tat around my ankle, but if I had to cover it up then it wouldn't be fun anymore.

I do!! (you've seen mine haven't you k?)

I got it sideways so to speak, so that I would have enough space to have what i really wanted - coming out of a very emotionally scary part of my life it had a lot of personal meaning to me and I wanted it to be hard to miss. But because of that it is never really upside down when i look at it or show people.

Here you can see how it is positioned on my arm:

It wasn't too bad painwise, until he got closer to my hand, that part was pretty intense!

I don't picture myself in a job ever really that requires me to have no tattoos, but i guess I'll deal with how to cover it up if i need to at that point. No regrets at all about getting it!

I want to get a very simple "relax" or "breathe" on my wrist as a reminder because I need that reminder sometimes! It would be easy to cover up with a bangle

my pain opinion - and i'm a BIG sissy....... it was the least painful tattoo have.... i have four. all in hide-able places...

I have a Taurus and Tribal on my shoulder blades.
Neck:
http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._2991120_n.jpg
Side:
http://distillery.s3.amazonaws.com/m...4b10a904_6.jpg

In order of pain,
Side - the worst, followed by Shoulder Blades, Neck then wrist...

In my opinion the wrist was an irritating pain, like plucking your eyebrows... my side i felt like i was getting sliced OPEN... shoulder blades because i have sensitive muscles from softball, and neck made my legs wanna twitch and move...it was weird. i couldn't really sit still, lol. i didn't want to breathe when i had my side done... i don't even know if i wanna color it in, lmao.
